Watch out! Low price trap!

    Did you resist the temptation of low price before? If not, congratulations! You fell into the low price trap. Someone may ask, why do you say that?

Today, I will lead you to learn about some real scoop of Chinese steel market.

    Let’s take the galvanized steel sheet as an example first.

One may be confused with big price difference with the same specification, sometimes it could be much more than 100 USD. Let me tell you the reason.

    1. Zinc coating

    Over 90% Chinese suppliers will quote without considering your zinc coating requirement. You ask for 100g, they offer 40g, you ask for 200g, they offer 40g, you ask for 275g, they still offer 40g, but when you ask for 40g, they will offer 13g. Just because the cost is low.

    2. Big negative tolerance

    This situation mostly happens when you buy according to pieces, not tons. Standard tolerance should be ±0.02mm tolerance, but some suppliers will make it much bigger. For instance you need 0.5mm sheet, they will offer the price of 0.42mm per piece. This seems cheap, but in fact, the total weight is less. If you need 12000 pieces (100 tons) to finish the project, you will receive 12000 pieces, but total weight is only 90 tons.
